Community Giving is at the Core of Who We Are – Bialke Agency

Giving Back to the Community is at the Core of Who We Are at the Bialke Agency

The Bialke Agency is not just dedicated to helping our clients achieve financial security — we also commit ourselves to support the communities we serve whenever the opportunity arises. Community giving and giving back have always been a part of our core mission and is something we want to continue doing, even as we grow.

This article highlights one of our recent initiatives and financial contributions to Hope House, a local nonprofit organization we hold near and dear to our hearts.

Hope House is a Safe Space for Homeless West Metro Teens

One of our most recent initiatives was in partnership with the Hope House, a six-bed emergency shelter that helps displaced youth needing a place to stay during a crisis.

It is the only homeless shelter found in the southwest metro area — west of Highway 100 in the Greater Twin Cities — founded in 2015 to provide shelter, support, and counseling for the growing number of homeless youth in crisis in this area.

Hope House provides a safe space for teens, ages 14 to 19, and from all backgrounds and walks of life. The organization aims to give these youth a sense of hope and light even as they are experiencing a crisis – it’s their mission and it’s in their name; Hope House.

Youth may be experiencing a form of homelessness, abuse, gender identity challenges, mental health concerns, dealing with unsupportive parents, hostile environments, and more.

These often-everyday situations teens may find themselves in are compounded with the pressures of just being a teenager and moving through socially rocky teenage years as they struggle to discover more about themselves.

Hope House provides emotional support by giving youth a place to work out their issues and receive proper guidance from the help of caring staff. They learn to better understand their emotions and how to move forward, planning out the next chapter in their life’s journey.

How We Support Hope House and Their Mission

As part of our mission to serve and give back, we have supported Hope House by serving on the board of the organization as well as volunteering our time in their Hope Garden.

The hope garden was created by Hope House volunteers and is maintained by volunteers, yet, today. The Garden helps teens in the house learn valuable lessons about growing and preparing food from the garden. The garden is not only used to make meals for residents of Hope House but provides fresh food for the surrounding communities and food shelves in need as well

Hope House has always been a cause we hold close to our hearts because of its mission to support these children and young adults. We understand the challenges teens may face when living in a bad situation or need help realigning and finding their direction again. We know that a crisis at such a young age can be terrifying.

We are all children of God, and Hope House is on a mission to reach these youth and let them know they are loved, they are valued, and they will be cared for even if they don’t receive that love in support in their primary homes.

How Allstate is Supporting Our Community Outreach

Aside from the time we volunteer at Hope House and Hope Garden, this year we have also received $1000 from Allstate to contribute to the mission of Hope House through the Allstate Helping Hands Grant program. We were proud to have been granted this community funding and to be able to donate it to Hope House on behalf of our Allstate agency.

As Bialke Agency continues to grow, we hope to continue helping the communities in our area and supporting the causes we advocate for.

We want to create a real impact in the lives of the people in the communities we serve. This is why, for us, it’s more than just about providing amazing service and insurance products, we will continue to put an equal commitment to giving back to these communities.
