Melinda Bialke: It’s My Why Testimony — The Story Behind WHY I Choose Insurance

I am Melinda Bialke, owner/operator of Bialke Insurance, an Allstate Agency in the Twin Cities, and I can proudly say that my family and my finances are secured because I have insurance.

And this is my WHY love letter – the story behind WHY I choose and recommend comprehensive insurance to those I care about.

When I was a young child, my family and I had a pleasant home, a successful business, and a generally secure life. Nevertheless, this shifted after an unexpected occurrence in my life: my mother passed away from breast cancer. This event was a turning point for our family — particularly regarding our financial situation. My father lost everything. If only we had insurance to help shoulder some of our financial burdens, our life back then might have been different, but more importantly, my father would have been able to spend more time with my mother or even mourn her after her passing.

The experience opened my eyes to the significance of having life insurance.

In fact, the right insurance policies can assist in paying for unexpected expenses associated with costs following the death of someone who had developed a serious illness and then need emergency hospitalization or routine, ongoing medical care and treatments. And we’re not talking about health insurance itself.

Insurance is helpful to anyone interested in protecting their family, assets/property, and personal lives from financial risk or shortfalls.

So! That’s WHY I chose a career in Insurance. Now, why did I choose Allstate?

Because of the support I have received from Allstate and through its mission-based programs, I have been able to gather hundreds of additional dollars annually to help with my own community outreach and support missions.

The Allstate Foundation Grant program has empowered me to put forward our own successful fundraising efforts that go to support local organizations and programs I feel are important to our communities and aligned with my own personal beliefs, such as the nonprofits that help mothers and children in need, homeless youth, breast cancer awareness campaigns, and more.
